Dirk van Delft
Dirk van Delft (1951) studied physics at Leiden University. His doctoral dissertation was a scientific biography entitled Heike Kamerlingh Onnes and the Quest for Cold. Since 2006 he has been Director of Museum Boerhaave, the Dutch national museum for the history of science and medicine. In 2008 he was appointed Special Professor of Material Heritage of the Sciences at Leiden University. His research focusses on physics in Leiden between 1870 and 1970.
