Andreas Ludwig
Dr. Andreas Ludwig is director of the Dokumentationzentrum Alltagskultur der DDR. He studied History and German Litterature at the Free University Berlin and wrote his dissertation at the Technical University Berlin about social foundations during urbanization (19th and early 20th century) in the city of (Berlin-) Charlottenburg. After voluntarily working for the Berlin History Workshop Ludwig developed the municipal museum for Berlin-Charlottenburg and, since 1993, is responsible for the conception and development of the Documentary Centre Every Cultur of the GDR in Eisenhüttenstadt. Research interests are material culture in current history, museology (which Ludwig teaches at Viadrina University at Frankfurt/Oder) and urban history.
